This isn’t the start of a joke. It’s the start of a new podcast. We’re happy to introduce the first installment of the Leopard B2B Lounge, an expert-to-expert conversation on the complexities of business-to-business (B2B) marketing.
This podcast, starring Steve Mudd, Sandy Durkin and myself, gives you a window into the workflow around the Leopard office. At Leopard, we’re lucky to help some of the biggest names in technology develop messages that connect with their sales teams and beyond. But it can be challenging to create clear stories for technologies that are so new they barely have use cases. Coming up with compelling collateral for tools that have become commonplace is just as tough. If you’ve ever wondered how to craft content and messaging that differentiates between new and established technologies, then this is the podcast episode for you.
While we initially set out to educate our listeners on our process, putting together this podcast also gave us the opportunity to think more deeply about how we work together.
And that was fun. We don’t often get the chance to consider how we come up with branding efforts that will resonate for years and reflect the excitement around a big technological advance. Usually when Steve, Sandy and I work together, we’re doing just that—working.
Putting this podcast together allowed us to step back and think about the larger issues facing B2B marketing and, of course, joke around. (One of us, who was born in 1983 and only recently got Snapchat, was pigeonholed as a millennial in an early version.)
Most of the teasing got cut out, but we hope you can hear for yourself that although we take our work seriously, the Leopard team has a good time.
This podcast is the first in a series of discussions. And if you have any topics you’d like to hear discussed in the Leopard B2B Lounge, drop us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
So take a listen, and let us know what you think.
